Yesterday we had our school triathlon.
Students swam, biked and ran either individually or in groups.
Parents and teachers joined in too!
House honour was also at stake, as this is the last chance to earn house points before the trophy is awarded at Prizegiving!

Year 10 Leavers' Dinner
On Friday, we had a special dinner for our Year 10 Leavers. Four of these students have been part of the ESOL programme this year. After our main course, teachers spoke about each of the students in turn. Then parents were invited to join us for dessert and a time of prayer to farewell these very special young people. Everyone dressed up too. Don't they look great!

International Parents' Celebratory Afternoon Tea
It was a great privilege for me to host our International Parents at my home for a celebratory afternoon tea today. Our numbers have doubled this year and we are continuing to welcome new families to the group. Today, there were fourteen adults and six preschoolers.
We have much to be proud of as a group. This year we have contributed to the wider life of the school through a significant contribution to International Week and our International Cafe at the school fair. As well, we have met to discuss supporting our children's language, culture and learning in general. We have had lots of fun and formed valuable friendships.
A huge thank you from me to all of you have contributed and supported the International and ESOL programmes this year. I appreciate each and every one of you! :)

Today our Junior Team held their annual Sports Day. Students participated in fun race events such as an obstacle course and gumboot throw.
Lots of fun was had by everyone, and we enjoyed the support of many family members and friends.
All the fun of the fair!
Once again our amazing group of International Parents came together to run a very successful International Cafe at our school fair. Special thanks to Sharon for coordinating our efforts.

A group of dedicated mothers have set up a craft group which meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 2 o'clock in our beautiful new staffroom. This is a time to try something new and get to know each other better. We have lots of fun and are numbers are growing each meeting.
At our last meeting we learned how to make fabric flowers. Next time we are going to learn how to crochet!

Big buddy, little buddy
Today Year 10 students worked with students from Room A to produce a book about International week or our recent World Vision Day. We had lots of fun using the computers and enjoyed being able to take our books home to share with our families.
